Brady / Giglio index

A disclosure index—not a list of convictions.

Brady and Giglio systems help prosecutors identify impeachment information that may need to be disclosed in criminal cases. Standards and public availability differ by prosecuting office.

Important interpretation rule

Inclusion in a prosecutor’s Brady identification system does not, by itself, establish a criminal conviction. The project will preserve the originating office’s terminology and will display removals or reconsideration outcomes prominently.

Every published entry must show its source.

Officer’s documented professional identity and agency
The prosecuting office responsible for the disclosure
The original public source or public-record response
The date added and the date the source was last checked
The public reason category, when the source provides one
Reconsideration, removal, or appeal status when available
